Your flight lands in Paro airport and the same day you will take to Thimphu the capital city of Bhutan. Our hike starts from Simtokha Dzong. The trail passes up the ridge through blue pine and poplars forest. Observing the nature and cultural lifestyle of the people around we finally reach Talakha monastery. The views from here are excellent. In clear weather the views of the high Himalayas from here are stunning. Views of many mountain including the Mt. Everest can be seen on the horizon. Then we trek back to Thimpu. We explore and pass through agriculture land, river valley, Dochu La Pass (3050m), Druk Wangyal Chorten, Chimi Lhakhang, rice field and fertile valley to finally reach Punakha (1300m). Stay overnight at Hotel.
We will drive north of Punakha Valley following the Mo Chu and we will hike up to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten. Then in the evening we visit Punakha Dzong at the junction of two rivers. Stay overnight at Hotel in Punakha.
On the way we stop by and visit Nyingmapa monastery and Chendebji Chorten. In Phobjikha valley we visit Crane Observation and information center and explore the places around and cultural lifestyle of the people of that area. Stay overnight at Hotel in Phobjikha.
On the way we stop by and visit Wangdue Dzong, Rinchen Gang clustered village, Druk Wanggyal Lhakhang and Dochu La. In the evening you can stroll around tourist hubs in Thimpu. Stay overnight at Hotel in Thimpu.
After arrival we will hike up to Taktshang Gompa or Tiger’s Nest viewpoint. The well maintained path passes through Pine forest, Spanish mosses and prayer flags. Then we will visit Kyichu Lhakhang, Ta-Dzong, and Rinpung Dzong. Stay overnight at Hotel in Paro.
