Mt Everest is situated along the Mahalangur Himal in the Khumbu Region popular trekking region of north eastern Nepal. The range forms part of Nepal’s border with Tibet. The people of this region are Sherpas, who also inhabit the Solu and Helambu regions south of the mountain chain.
Our treks include two short “introductory treks” that allow you to view Everest and surrounding peaks while discovering the warmth, hospitality and beliefs of its people – at comfortable altitudes. The longer treks to Everest Base Camp and the Gokyo Lakes Trekking reach altitudes in excess of 5 000m/16 400ft and require pre-fitness and stamina to be successful.
Our Everest Budget Trek takes you to Nepal’s prime destination since Everest was conquered in 1953. It is quick, demanding and requires a good level of pre-fitness as much of the trail is over 3 000m.
Full board and Teahouse lodging plus safe drinking water is inclusive on all our treks. Porters will carry your main luggage, £ 15kg; you should carry a pack with 4-5kg of warm clothing, camera and water.
