The Langtang National Park lies north of Kathmandu and offers, from high ground, the most extensive panoramic views of the Himalayas in the country. It is easily accessible, less crowded and less demanding than most trails in the Annapurna and Everest regions.
We offer two short treks that will introduce you to the region and three that explore areas more extensively. Maximum altitudes are given.
Sadly, this region was particularly badly struck during the recent earthquakes. Villagers have expressed a need for trekking to resume as soon as possible, but adjustments to itineraries may be necessary for some time. The itineraries below are based on past treks we have done – and will be followed as closely as is feasible. Client fitness, health, safety and comfort will guide any changes.
Full board and Teahouse lodging plus safe drinking water is inclusive on all our treks. Porters will carry your main luggage, £ 15kg; you should carry a pack with 4-5kg of warm clothing, camera and water.
